In the North-West Frontier Province, under the leadership of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a volunteer organization named ‘Khudai Khidmatgar’ was established. They were also known as the ‘Red Shirts’. The ‘Red Shirts’ raised the slogan of national unity among the Pathans, organized a movement against British colonialism for independence, and demanded improvement in the condition of working people.
