Explanation
With the objective of organizing peasants in Bihar, the ‘Kisan Sabha’ was formed in Munger in 1922–23 by Shah Mohammad Jubair and Shri Krishna Singh. However, the peasant movement got a decisive turn when Swami Sahajanand Saraswati formally established the ‘Kisan Sabha’ on 4 March 1928. In 1929, Swami Sahajanand founded the ‘Bihar Provincial Kisan Sabha’ and became its first president.
