The book “Gita Rahasya” was written by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak in Mandalay Jail. In it, he gave a detailed explanation of the Karma Yoga of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. After reading “Gita Rahasya,” Gandhiji said that Tilak’s commentary on the Gita would remain his eternal memorial. In the preface of this book, Tilak wrote: “I prepared the first draft of the book in Mandalay Jail during the winter of 1910–1911.
