When did Simon Commission visit India?

Explanation

In the Montagu–Chelmsford Reforms of 1919, there was a provision to set up a Statutory Commission for review after 10 years. The Commission had to examine how far this Act had been successful in practice and how much progress had been made towards responsible government. However, the Conservative government in Britain appointed the Simon Commission (Indian Statutory Commission) two years earlier itself, in November 1927. This commission was chaired by Sir John Simon and had a total of 7 members. Since all the members were British, the Congressmen opposed it by calling it a “White Commission.” The Simon Commission reached Bombay on 3 February 1928.
