The Indian Constitution has more than 470 Articles; however, many of these are connected to the original as sub-clauses such as (a), (b), (c), etc. In the original text of the Constitution, there were 22 Parts, 395 Articles and 8 Schedules. Through amendments, some new Articles were added and some Articles were also deleted. New Schedules were also added, and their number increased from 8 to 12.
