Swami Sahajanand Saraswati (1889–1950) is called the father of the peasant movement in India. He was an intellectual, writer, social reformer and peasant leader. Swami Sahajanand Saraswati was a Dandi sannyasi of the Dashnami Sannyasi Akhara of the Adi Shankaracharya tradition. He also published a magazine named ‘Hunkar’.
