Explanation
In the year 1905, Gopal Krishna Gokhale founded the Servants of India Society in Poona (Pune). Its objective was to prepare dedicated workers for the service of India and, in a constitutional manner, to promote the true interests of the Indian people. This organisation produced great social workers such as V. Srinivasa Sastri, G.K. Devadhar, N.M. Joshi, and Pandit Hridaynath Kunzru. M.C. Setalvad, B.N. Rau, and Alladi Krishnaswamy Ayyar were among its prominent members. Mool Shankar (Swami Dayanand Saraswati) was born in 1824 in a Brahmin family in the Morbi princely state (Kathiawar region) of Gujarat. In 1860, in Mathura, he learnt the pure meaning of the Vedas from Swami Virjanand Ji and developed deep faith in the Vedic religion. In 1867, he raised the “Pakhand Khandini Pataka”. In 1875, he founded the Arya Samaj in Bombay. His ideas are described in his famous book “Satyarth Prakash”. His other works include Pakhand Khandan, Rigvedadi Bhashyabhumika, Rigveda Bhashya, Advaitmat Khandan, Panch Mahayagya Vidhi, and Vedaviruddha Matkhandanam. A B C
