Explanation
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister from Gorakhpur (U.P.) on 24 February 2019. This scheme was implemented with retrospective effect from 1 December 2018. It is a 100% centrally funded scheme. Under this scheme, all eligible landholding farmer families are provided assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year.
