Explanation

The meeting of NATO leaders was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, during 21–22 November 2002. In this conference, NATO resolved to equip itself with new capabilities to deal with the security challenges of the 21st century. In 2021, Brussels (Belgium) hosted the NATO Summit. The NATO Summit 2023 was held in Vilnius, Lithuania. This was the first time Lithuania hosted it. The NATO Summit 2025 was held during 24–25 June 2025 in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2026, the NATO Summit is proposed to be held in Ankara, Türkiye.
