Explanation

The Chedi ruler of Kalinga, Kharavela, was one of the greatest emperors of ancient Indian history. An undated inscription of him has been found from the “Hathigumpha” cave on the Udayagiri hill in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It gives a chronological account of events from Kharavela’s childhood, education, coronation, and the events of the first thirteen years of his reign.
