International Day of Persons with Disabilities is observed on 3 December. The United Nations General Assembly de­clared the year 1981 as the International Year of Disabled Persons. On 18 December 2007, the United Nations General Assembly changed the name of International Disability Day to “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”.
