In Bihar, name the scheme which aims at building up infrastructural facilities of a high standard, required for establishment of 'Export-oriented Units' – 11. 'Sunandini Programme' is related to the the Bihar Government allocated a budget of about Rs. 2,221 crore per year for implementation. It is an integrated scheme implemented jointly by multiple departments. The nodal department is the Social Welfare Department, which performs the main coordination role, while the other two departments—Education and Health—provide benefits at different stages. Under this scheme, a girl receives total financial assistance of Rs. 94,100 (in different instalments) from birth till graduation. Notably, earlier this amount was fixed at Rs. 54,100, which was enhanced with approval of the State Cabinet in February 2021. The scheme also provides Rs. 2,000 to the family at the time of the girl child’s birth.
