How many seats were given to Depressed Classes under Communal Award and Poona Pact?

In the Communal Award, the number of reserved seats for Dalits in the provincial legislatures was 71, which was increased in the Poona Pact (Poona Agreement) to 148 (Madras–30; Bombay including Sindh–15; Punjab–8; Bihar and Orissa–18; Central Provinces and Berar–20; Assam–7; Bengal–30; and the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh–20). In some books, however, this number is given as 147. Also, in the Central Legislature, 18 percent of the seats from the general category were reserved for the Dalit classes.
