The Dalmatian Coast, one of the most rugged coastlines in the world, is mainly located along the Adriatic Sea in Croatia (Southern Europe). It is an example of a karstic piedmont coast. Karst landforms have developed here. According to NASA, this distinctive coastal landform was formed due to faulting caused by tectonic activity after the end of the Ice Age, along with a rise in sea level.
