Explanation
In 1934, Gandhiji suggested, through a statement in Patna, that the Civil Disobedience Movement should be suspended. In May 1934, the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee fully supported it, and the movement stopped in Bihar. As a result of this movement, political awareness intensified. During the movement, sympathy for the national movement also arose among Indian officers and employees associated with the police and administration. The Congress Socialist Party in Bihar was formed in 1934. Jayaprakash Narayan played a major role in its formation.
