Explanation

After taking the oath of office, a Judge of a High Court holds office until the age of 62 years. Before that, he may resign his office by a signed letter addressed to the President (Article 217(1)(a)). Also, on the ground of proved misbehaviour or incapacity, he may be removed by the President on an address by each House of Parliament, passed separately by a majority of the total membership of that House and supported by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members present and voting. ## Page 37
